Guide to spare parts and maintenance for super automatics
Main components available
We offer original and compatible spare parts for domestic and professional super automatics: brew group / dispensing unit, grinders / coffee mills, vibrating or rotary pumps, boilers / thermoblocks, solenoid valves, water filters, seals / O-rings, displays and control panels, water tanks, milk dispensers / steamers.
See real examples: Saeco super automatics with replaceable dispensing groups and specific grinders.
How to choose the right spare part
-
Brand, model, and code: essential for identifying the brew group, grinders, and boiler compatible with your super automatic machine. (e.g. Saeco, DeLonghi)
-
Grinding type / grinder: finish (flat, conical), precise adjustment; a worn grinder can compromise crema and aroma.
-
Pump and operating pressure: the pump must ensure the right pressure during extraction; worn or noisy components need to be replaced.
-
Brew group: critical part that needs to be extracted and cleaned often; any damage or leakage requires replacement. Example: compatible brew group for DeLonghi ECAM / ETAM
-
Water filtration: anti-limescale filter or compatible cartridges to preserve internal components, coffee flavor, and the lifespan of the dispensing group.
Recommended maintenance
- Clean the brew group weekly or as indicated in the manual;
- Descale frequently if the water is hard;
- Replace seals and O-rings as soon as they show signs of wear or leakage;
- Check the grinder adjustment to achieve consistent grinding;
- Periodically check the display, electrical cables, and safety systems.
Common problems and possible solutions
-
Coffee flows too quickly / weak crema: grinder too coarse or brew group dirty;
-
Unusual noises or vibrations: worn pump or grinders;
-
Water not coming out or intermittent dispensing: clogged filter or issue with the brew group;
-
Machine not responding to commands: issues with the display, control panel, or electronics;
-
Internal leaks: damaged seals, slow tank or fittings.
Quick FAQs
How often should I clean the brew group?
Ideally every week, or at least every 2-3 days if you use the machine intensively, to avoid residue buildup and malfunctions.
When should I replace the water filter?
Generally every 2-3 months or after a certain number of liters (depends on water hardness and manufacturer’s recommendations).
Is it possible to use universal / aftermarket grinders?
Yes, if they have the same specifications (diameter, adjustments, material); however, OEM parts often ensure better tolerance and durability.
